Hi Lovelies, what did you think of my last post on Kintsugi, an ancient Japanese technique for repairing vases?
Well today I am sharing with you a new addition to my Chinoiserie vase collection. A Ravello Temple Jar that I spotted whilst on a tour of Burghley House. Have you read or watched it? If you did then you will know that Burghley is a whole estate and in it there is a charming shop where you can buy little gifts and souvenirs- it goes by the name – “The Court Yard Shop”.

During the beginning of the tour, I detoured into the shop and I was delighted by the pretty items available there.
On finishing the house and garden tour and visit of the Concours d’Elegance, I popped back into the shop because there was this lovely vases that I could not get my mind off. But, for heaven- sake I had to choose one. At that moment, my collection consisted of the traditional blue and white modern chinoiserie set, 2 Japanese vases and two green Chinoiseries. I though the collection would look really pretty with something different. And that is how I decided to go with the Ravello Temple jar.

The Court Yard Shop had other pretty items for the home and as gifts I purchase the following items which I thought were really pretty and will match other accessories in my home for instance this Chinoiserie style Ball. Never thought I could find such a thing and it matches my traditional blue and white Chinoiserie vases.

The mini note pad system has a little top compartment where the notepad is and you can pull them out when needed and a little drawer to store written notes or little pens. Really convenient at the same time, a beautiful accessory for your work-desk or by the telephone.

I could not wait, so I filled my new Ravello vase with some pretty flowers and branches. The branches I cut from my little garden. I love the leaves and I felt the colour shade would go with my favourite tiny white Gypsophilia flowers.
