Fun Christmas Decorations for 2026

Can you feel the Christmas spirit this year? I definitely felt a sense of euphoria. Could it be that people are stating to love Christmas again? I embarked on decorating my home straight away. It also means I ended up “investing” on quite a few lovely Christmas decorations for a new theme this year. Here are some of the things I bought

Christmas Tree

I started decorating the tree and for the new theme it meant having more bubbles than usual. I bunched different sizes and texture bubles of gold peach/pink.

Fire Place

Next I started on the fire place. I found these garlands online that weren’t that thick and lush but I got creative with what I have to make them appear thick and lush.

I hope I managed to make the fire place garland lush enough. It is my first time to have a fire place which I am so excited about in this new home. I plan to renovate the home so look out for my next articles. As well as videos.

Stairs

At a previous home I did have the privilege to have stairs and I decorated it with my own African hand made Christmas decoration (read here). This year I felt just as creative, although the pieces where not my own designs. Have a look.

Dinning Table

Let’s not forget about the dinning table. I used my vintage collection of plates on my old cottage dinning table (look out for my fun renovation posts). To make it more exciting I came up with this extra idea to decorate the dining table. See below.

Door

One of the things I find pretty are the London door with floral wreaths. Having lived in London before. I wanted to recreate this as I renovate this home; since its Christmas I had to get a Christmas wreath . There were a few stunning gold and green wreaths that wanted to get, however I felt the wreath has to contrast with the colour of the door so that it can be seen. Let me know what you think.

Adding my own touch to the wreath with my collection of natural pine cones which I sprayed gold and a few gold baubles to match the door.

Windows

Another thing I did different this year was decorate the windows. With Yahweh’s blessings I found a home with bay windows. Again something I always found charming house feature. I found some lovely outdoor lights online that look like icicles. I had to install them myself as it was hard to find someone to install them in my areas. This means I learnt a new decoration skill.

It was absolutely freezing outside. I was in danger of getting frost bite on my fingers. This gown has got to be the warmest fleece I have owned. It was warmer than my jackets.

This year’s Christmas season was definitely euphoric for me. I had fun decorating my new home. I am already thinking of next year’s (2026) Christmas theme. Comment below and let me know what you think. Remember to like and share the post.
